Inside the Factory: Early Spring 2026

Spring is starting to show its face here in Seattle — cherry blossoms on the trees, longer days, and a fresh batch of ideas taking root in the factory. Here’s what we’ve been working on, what’s happening behind the scenes, and a look at what’s coming next.

The Best of 2026 (So Far)

This year has already brought a steady stream of launches, restocks, and a whole lot of new colors.

Bordeaux Has Arrived

Our latest 420D Spectron color, Bordeaux, made its debut as a seasonal release in early January – deep, rich, and a little unexpected. We’ve now committed all the Bordeaux we have on hand, and it’s been exciting to see it out in the wild.

Two New Seasonal Colors: Ultraviolet and Lemonade 200D Halcyon

We launched Ultraviolet and Lemonade in late January. After weeks and weeks of delayed customs, we were finally able to share these with you, and we couldn’t be more excited.

Ultraviolet, especially, struck a chord. A classic from our lineup back in 2011. After going back and forth between Selkie and Ultraviolet as our long-term purple, we’ve decided: Ultraviolet is here to stay as our core purple color.

Restocks You’ve Been Waiting For

The Guide’s Edition Synik 26 and Smart Alec 2.0 are finally back. Both have been high on the request list for a while, so we’re happy to have them in rotation again.

Meet the Forager

Our newest bag, the Forager, officially launched in late March! It’s lightweight, adaptable, and built for everyday use – the kind of bag that makes an easy companion to any café, market, or light grocery run. We’ve been over the moon seeing everyone’s opinions about it. You also completely sold out the Forager in Bordeaux this week!

We recently wrapped up a lifestyle shoot for it, taken at Seattle’s Ballard Farmers Market – we even spotted a few TOM BIHN bags in the crowd (small world)! We followed the bag through real moments: quick produce pick-ups, coffee runs, and leaving with a bouquet in hand.

We’ve Been Having Fun

We Made Our Debut on the Big Screen (Again)

If you’ve been keeping up with HBO’s Emmy award-winning drama, The Pitt, you may have seen Dr. Robby, played by Noah Wyle, wearing our Ursa Synapse 25 during the season 2 premiere!

Singularity Project

We also supported the Singularity Project, bringing riders and filmmakers from around the world to create a one-of-a-kind wakeboarding film. It’s unlike anything we’ve been part of before, and we’re excited to keep building connections and collaborations with people around the world through a shared love of bags. If you haven’t checked it out yet, we shared more in a recent blog post.

Inside the Factory

A New Chapter for Our Showroom

We said goodbye to our Bellevue store and have been working on bringing parts of it into the factory. Some of the beautiful signage has made its way over, and we’re slowly reimagining the showroom space.

It’s still a work in progress, but if you stop by this spring, you’ll see the beginnings of something new.

Reworking the Floor

Since our expansion last year, we’ve been rearranging the factory floor – adding new shelving, bringing in new machines, and clearing out years’ worth of miscellaneous boxes. Spring cleaning at its finest.

The goal is simple: a smoother, more efficient workspace that gives our team more room to do what they do best.

A Small Time Capsule

While cleaning, we came across something unexpected: 16 unfinished Nordic Pop Totes, tucked away in an unlabeled box and likely untouched for nearly a decade.

And it wasn’t just old Pop Totes hiding away. While cleaning her office, Cindy found an early sample of what’s now the Forager, waiting patiently for its moment to shine. Read more on its design process here

A New Approach to Scraps

We’ve started a new scrap program focused on Clear 3D Organizer Cubes.

Going forward, these cubes will be made from Halcyon fabric remnants accumulated over recent years – another way for us to repurpose materials and reduce waste. Unlike the Mystery Grab Bags and Mystery Pouches, we’ll still list the exact colorway – but you may start seeing Clear 3D Organizer Cubes pop up in colors that haven’t been available for a while.

Website Updates in Progress

We’ve been hard at work rewriting copy, shooting new lifestyle photos, and getting detailed photos for all our most popular bags. We’re also planning a height comparison shoot to make it easier to get a sense of scale when choosing between sizes.

Material Updates

We’re excited to welcome Fjord 200D Halcyon back to our lineup soon.

On The Horizon

A New Spectron Color

With Bordeaux fully committed, we’re already looking ahead. Our next 420D Spectron color is expected to arrive from the port later this spring.

New Designs in the Works

José has been working hard behind the scenes on a new backpack design – we’re still early in the process, but it's one we’re excited about, and think you will be too!

We’ve also been testing a new, handy accessory that’s already traveled to Asia, Mexico, and back during development.

Coming This Summer

Two new ballistic colors are set to arrive this summer. We’re still finalizing details, but both bring something a little different to the lineup. We’re keeping them under wraps for now, but think vibrant, eye-catching, and not afraid to stand out from the crowd.

We’re also in the process of selecting seasonal summer colors and developing a new Cerylon shade to add to our lineup.

Thanks, as always, for being part of this journey. Your support, feedback, and enthusiasm keep us going. Spring has officially arrived at the factory, and we can’t wait to show you what’s next.
